Surrealism

• Began in the early of 1920
• Developed out of the Dada activities during World War I
• Center of the movement was Paris
• An art movement with featuring the element of surprise, unexpected 
• Expose psychological truth by change ordinary objects of their normal significance
• Evoke empathy from the viewer 
• Create a compelling image that was beyond ordinary formal organization

Why I like Surrealism?

The mix and match between natural resources and human.

• Studied in Madrid at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts.

Principle of Design

1) Simplicity - The art movement is very simple as the subject matter tells us the meaning - easy to understand.  

2) Contrast & Dominance - Focus on one subject matter. Easy to difference between the subject matter with environment or background. 

3) Movement & Direction - eye direction flow from left to right. 

4) Unity - By adding the branch to support the subject matter, it looks more unity as the environment is belong with the subject matter.

Element of Design
1) Color - The color of subject matter is attractive than background.

A part of my life

Good~ Morning, Evening, Night to everyone of you....

I am Kate, who graduated in her Diploma last year and currently taking her Bachelor in Communication (Marketing Communication). And I created this blog, is because of Graphic Design.

Why I am choosing this course? 
Actually, I taken my Design class during my Diploma, and now I am taking it again because I want learn more and deeper of this course, and I believe it maybe a helpful hand for me to achieve what I want. Design may have a lot of meaning, for me is an Art.

What I want to achieve?
I love Event, and I take it as a challenge of mine. It is not as easy as people always think, a successful event from every little planning. I did quite amount of event since last year like AIA Kick Off 2011, Sony Ericsson Xperia Launch, Tomtom Launch Press Conference, Caltex Diamond Gala Dinner and recently Pop Star 2011- a nation wide singing competition, which is why I choose to study Marketing Communication. I am not showing off of what I had achieved, I just want to get more and higher as I wish and expect.

What is important for me? 
I believe that no matter how well you are, if you don't have family and friends, you are nothing. Friendship is very important to me, that's why no matter how busy I am, I will hang around with my friends at least once a month.
